About INVEA
Ten years of
making the mistakes first.
Industrial aerial robotics — RF and satcom, police and fire, live-line utilities work — designed from first concept through to production.
Who we are
In ten years we have made nearly every mistake there is to make in this field. That is the actual product. We know what works, what does not, and which of the four options on your whiteboard ends in a rebuild.
INVEA Engineering is an engineering consultancy for industrial aerial robotics. We work with technology companies — mostly startups and small to medium businesses — running complex hardware projects that need capability they do not have in-house.
We are based in Australia and work globally. Our clients are in Europe and North America as well as Australasia, and the projects on this site were delivered across those markets — distributed engineering is the normal condition of this work, not an exception we make.
The work spans ten years of genuinely difficult environments: RF satcom antenna calibration, field-deployed systems for police and fire services, and live-line contact drones for utilities. Across those projects we have designed from idea and concept through prototyping, field deployment and into production — and we have run our own technology companies, which is a different and useful kind of experience to have on the other side of the table.

How we are built
A few clients at a time.
Deliberately.
INVEA is a network of senior aerial-robotics engineers. Every engagement is staffed with people who have taken a design from an idea to something that flies, sells and can be built again.
We run intense, fast-tracked projects and we take on only a few clients at once. That is not scarcity marketing — it is the only way to give a project the focus that compresses it into six months instead of three years.
There are no juniors on the bench and nobody learning on your project. You get the disciplines you need, for the part of the project that needs them, and they come off the project when they are done.
Disciplines we staff
Why teams call us
You are not buying more hands.
You are buying a fast track to market.
Hardware projects fail slowly. The decision that costs a year is usually made near the start and discovered near the end, and by then it is not a design change — it is a restart.
What ten years of these projects buys you is pattern recognition: knowing which of the four architectures on the whiteboard dead-ends, which supplier lead time will move, and which requirement will quietly become the one that decides the airframe.
We have watched companies spend years and a great deal of money arriving at an answer we could have given them at the start. We have a design template that breaks a complex project down to six months, and a supply chain network built specifically around these systems.

How we work
No discovery phase.
We start where you are.
You have already done work. The first thing we do is understand it properly, not restart it.
01
Read the project
Your drawings, boards, logs, BOM and plan. We come to the first call having done the reading, not asking you to explain your own project.
02
Fix the specification
What the system actually has to do, and what that forces in every discipline. Most projects are wrong here and do not know it yet.
03
Make it concrete
Renders, a spec sheet and a timeline. Your first phase goes from months to weeks, and you have something to show a board.
04
Do the work
Hands on the hardware, through to something you can build and sell — on the six-month template where the complexity allows it.
Supply chain
Suppliers we have
already qualified.
Ten years of building real hardware across Europe, China, the United States and Australasia means a working supplier network rather than a search. For most projects that is the difference between a six-week sourcing exercise and a phone call.

Twenty minutes,
straight to an engineer.
Bring a drawing, a board, a flight log or a plan, and we will get into the technical questions on your project. No discovery deck, no sales sequence — if we are not the right people we will say so on the call.
